Technology Committee Goals 2010-2011

• Faxing and scanning functions will be added to the workroom copy machine.
  
• Successful voice simulation will be achieved with the Sim Man.
  
• A low-fidelity mannequin will be investigated for purchase.
  
• A head wall for the Sim Man room will be investigated.
  
• A Newborn Hal patient simulator will be added to the Pediatric Skills Lab.
  
• Memory will be upgraded to seven laptops and two faculty computers.
  
• A flat screen plasma TV will be added to the psych classroom to resolve the issue of the vibrating projector/screen.
  
• The Technology Committee will annually review the School of Nursing website and evaluate it for currency, relevance and attractiveness.
  
  • New pictures will be added to the website.
    
  • The www.hesinet.com link will be added to the appropriate place.
    
  • The possibility of a blog or RSS feed will be investigated.
    
• Sim Man software will be upgraded
  
• If approved, the HRSA Simulation in Education grant will be implemented.
  
• Potential funding for a GPS/GIS project will be sought.
